Another view about the same age as the previous one. The text on the mount reads:
"Gems of Minnesota Scenery", and "from WHITNEY'S GALLERY, St. Paul, Minn.", and "Minne-Ha-Ha". Under the right hand image, it says, "No." but the number has not been filled in. I wonder when Whitney and Zimmerman started working together. It seems to have been around 1867 or so; about the time this picture was taken. Neither one of this stereo pair seem to have been published as a carte de visite, but there's no way to be sure of that.

Still no sign of anybody. At least there's no litter.

They really should put a fence up.

This is the back of the stereoview. Written in pencil, we learn which number it is. Here's the text:
No. 21
Minne-Ha-Ha, .... (Laughing Water)
--------
A pleasant drive from St. Paul of two hours by way of Fountain Cascade, Fountain Cave,
and Fort Snelling, or from Minneapolis by way of Lakes Calhoun and Harriet, brings the tourist
to this graceful Waterfall, which will make a lifelong impression.
"Sweet Minne-ha-ha like a child at play,
Comes gaily dancing o'er her pebbly way,
Till reaching with surprise the rocky ledge,
With gleeful laugh bounds from its crested edge."
Published by WHITNEY'S GALLERY, 174 Third Street, St. Paul, Minnesota."
