Karen's graphic: Stereoviews: the Falls in Depth.

Two men stand on the south side of the gorge, looking at two women on the farther, northern side.

My favourite views are the ones with people in them. The mount here is entirely blank, so I don't know who took these pictures. It's also a grainy, lousy image. Perhaps it was reproduced from a copy negative or something. It's just not a very high-quality photograph.

A close-up image of one of the stereo pairs.

Several interesting things are happening in this scene.

The two men are standing next to a large tree. I probably could not put my arms around this tree.

We get to see just how big that tree is. I was surprised; I thought it was about 8 inches in diameter.

A grainy close-up of the two women.

The two fellows above are looking at these two women across the gorge.

A small tree dangles by its roots from the top of the cliff. Someone tried to tear it up, or perhaps the cliff collapsed here.

Just above the ladies' heads is this tree, looking like it's about to fall on them. I suppose this was more effort to improve the view of the Falls.

Written on the back of the image "501 Falls of Minnehaha."

This was pencilled on the back of the view. Perhaps "501" is a number in a series; I don't know.
